  I am rating Bassett Furniture with 1 star and that is only because I can't select anything lower. My rating is based purely on the fabric I selected with the assistance of the in store designer. I was very excited about my purchase until I determined (over time and use) that the type of fabric I have is one that presents an issue if it's going to be sat on. Because my furniture is actually used from time to time the furniture fabric pulls tiny pieces of fabric from your clothing which is very visible as the color of my furniture fabric is a dark blue, almost black. I would not have knowingly selected a fabric that would do this if there had been any indication that this is a characteristic of this fabric type when you have it in a dark color. Using a roller and Fabric Shaver provides very minimal improvement. There has never been a time where any furniture that I've owned over the years has looked the way my furniture does now. In my opinion it looks like what a sweater might look like if washed with a white towel. I'm very dissatisfied and can honestly say that my experience with Bassett Furniture’s fabric quality has been what I'd expect from a lower end furniture manufacturer. Even after discussing with the Store Manager and the Designer I was told that because the fabric is not degrading there was nothing that could be done. I appreciate the professionalism of the Store Manager and Designer but that does not make me feel better about my furniture. At this point I am contacting the Better Business Bureau and looking into replacing furniture that's not even 2 years old. I thought I was getting something special and of excellent quality only to be disappointed.
